IPB abre Curso de Prospecção Mineral para responder a exigências do mercado

O Instituto Politécnico de Bragança (IPB) vai abrir no próximo ano lectivo um Curso Técnico Superior Profissional de prospecção mineral e geotécnica, que vai funcionar em Torre de Moncorvo.  Numa altura em que pode estar iminente a reactivação da extracção de minério nas jazidas de ferro do concelho, Sobrinho Teixeira, presidente da instituição de ensino superior, considera que é altura indicada para proporcionar este tipo de formação, “tendo em conta as potencialidades mineiras da região”. O responsável entende que “é uma obrigação do IPB responder às necessidades que vai haver, nomeadamente das empresas que se vão instalar e em ter quadros qualificados para que pudessem responder à demanda”. O Município de Torre de Moncorvo, o IPB e as empresas de minério vão assinar protocolos, para a criação de estágios. O curso técnico de dois anos permitirá a continuação dos estudos superiores no IPB, que assinou ainda um protocolo com a universidade francesa de Lyon, para que os estudantes de Engenharia Civil do IPB possam vir a obter um diploma de licenciatura em Engenharia Minas. Para este próximo ano lectivo, estão abertas 20 vagas. A primeira fase de candidatura termina a 28 de Agosto, altura em que os protocolos para os estágios serão assinados.

It was a sign of things to come for the Chicago Bears, whether in the near or distant future.

Labeled the third-team quarterback and a developmental project at the outset of training camp, rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky took snaps with the second team on Wednesday as the Bears completed a full week of practices.

It has been an up-and-down process to this point.

Trubisky blamed himself for the fumbles, although they came with different players at center. One of the concerns over Trubisky heading into the draft was his inexperience taking direct snaps from center, because he played in the shotgun in college.

”It was frustrating because that was uncharacteristic of me and I’ve just got to handle that,” Trubisky said. ”They were just wasted plays and I was kind of frustrated because I kind of wasted a team session right there and I didn’t allow myself or my teammates to get better.
